Cornwall Library to Present Bollywood Dance Series
CORNWALL – The Cornwall Public Library is excited to bring back our Bollywood Dance instruction in October, with a series of invigorating, fun workshops for participants ages 14 and up. Rupa Parikh, a local Bollywood dance instructor, will lead four one-hour sessions at 6:30 p.m. on October 8, 15, 22, and 29.
Parikh is a Bollywood dance instructor based in Poughkeepsie. In these workshops, she will teach participants Bollywood dancing with flavors of Bhangra, Folk Classical and Fusion Indian dance. There is limited space, so please register in advance for each workshop via the library’s online calendar or by calling the library at 845-534-8282. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and socks or soft jazz shoes.
This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
For questions, please call the library and ask for Rosaleen Leahy.
