The Clancy/Armitage Softball Tournament
October 10, 2015

Once again this year we will be hosting the Annual Clancy / Armitage Softball Fall Classic Tournament at Black rock Fish & Game Club. The entry fee is $250.00 per team. We are limited to 22 teams. This event is open to any team who would like to enter. This is the 17th year of the tournament. Please contact Mike Trainor (845) 219-9518 or [email protected] for registration.

The Storm King Fire Engine Company #2 will once again be hosting the Annual Clancy-Armitage Softball Fall Classic tournament. This tournament is scheduled to be held October 10th & 11th at the Black Rock Fish and Game Club in Mountainville, New York. This tournament is held each year in memory of two of our firefighters, Matt Clancy and Bruce Armitage. This will be our 17th year we are hosting the tournament.
Both of these firefighters passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. At the time of their passing they were both married with two young children each. All proceeds from this benefit softball tournament are used to fund the educational future of their children. Through the continued generosity of our supporters, such as you, we have also been able to establish a scholarship given to two graduating seniors from the Cornwall Central High School each year.
We once again ask for your support for this most worthy cause. As volunteer firefighters with our company, Matt and Bruce were always there when their friends and neighbors were in need of help from the fire company. Now is the time for us to give back to both of their families. Please consider a monetary donation or a donation of goods and services for this tournament. Checks may be made payable to the The Storm King Fire Engine Company #2 and mailed care of my address below.

The comment above me is uncalled for. this is a memorial softball tournament for my uncle who passed away. it is for a good cause and what you wrote was low. we take pride in this tournament it raises a lot of money for a good cause.

Hi KRisti, I did not see the comment (it must have been removed). People are nuts.
Your Uncle, Bruce, was one of my very best friends growing up in the Homeland area and I was close to Jeff, Brian and Mr. and Mrs. Armitage growing up. Bruce was a great guy, a great husband, dad, uncle, friend ... I could go on and on. May he rest in peace. He was taken from this world and his family too young.
I am so happy that Storm King Engine #2 runs this tournament. I live in Southern California which pre-empts me from playing, but a lot of our fellow friends who grew up together play. I hope it continues to be a major success.
Cornwall is a great place to call one's hometown.
