Common Core Forum at Munger Cottage
March 23, 2015
Common Core Forum with Dr. Peg Luksik
Monday, March 23 at 6:30 pm
Munger Cottage, Cornwall NY
In the discussion of Common Core, there seem to be more questions than answers. What do the words "College and Career Ready" actually mean for our kids? How are the standards actually implemented in a classroom? Are the standards truly rigorous, or is that just a marketing technique? During this informative evening Dr. Luksik will use the government's own documents to provide real answers to these questions and more.

Were the Common Core State Standards developed in a transparent, state-led process?
How are the standards actually implemented in a Common Core classroom?
How does Common Core affect the evaluation of our children, and our teachers?
Is there an educational data system?
What do the words “college and career-ready” actually mean for the education of our kids?
Are the standards truly rigorous, or is that word just a marketing technique?
