Cornwall, N.Y. ---- Want to help make Cornwall an even more beautiful place to live? It’s easy. Just come and shop at the Cornwall Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale for your spring flowers and plants. The sale will be held at the park grounds in front of the Cornwall Town Hall on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

According to Andrea Hamburger, co-chair for the plant sale, “The profits from the sale are used to fund beautification projects such as the club’s gardens at the Village Bandstand and Chadeayne Circle, so the support of the Cornwall community is critical to the success of our beautification efforts. “

“The sale will feature many of the best flowers and plants our local growers have to offer. We can count on their plants to be of outstanding quality, said Hamburger. “The sale will include a terrific selection of spectacular hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs, annuals and perennials.” She added that many deer resistant plants will be available for purchase.

“The Garden Club’s plant sale is a springtime tradition in Cornwall,” said Arlene DeSocio, the sale’s other co-chair. “We hold the sale the day before Mother’s Day. Garden Club members will be available to assist in choosing that perfect gift for Mom”

Other traditional favorites at the plant sale include the baked goods table with delicious homemade treats prepared by Cornwall Garden Club members. There will be a silent auction with numerous interesting items and services available for bids, and Grandma’s Attic will offer a variety of treasures.

For questions regarding the plant sale, please contact Andrea Hamburger at 845-534-9088. Those interested in joining or learning more about the Cornwall Garden Club are invited to come to the plant sale and speak with club members.

Remember that by purchasing your spring plants at the Garden Club sale you’ll be making both your home and Cornwall more beautiful.
