Arrests
05/21/19 Michael A. Zaloga, age 28, of Newburgh, NY was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for DWI.
05/23/29 A 37 yr old male from Suffer, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.
Incidents
Police issue approximately 5 warnings and 39 summonses to drivers including summonses issued during a special traffic assignment.
05/20/19 Police scare away 3 bears with a Police siren so pizza delivery person can make a delivery.
05/21/19 Owners of a store turned in a wallet found on Interstate 95. Police contacted the college on a college id from the wallet and the owner was left a message.
05/24/19 Police take a report of a hit and run vehicle accident causing damage to a vehicle on Hudson St.
05/25/19 A caller reported that someone graffiti on the wall near the railroad tracks near parking lot 3.
05/26/19 Police impound a vehicle parked on Mountain Rd on a dangerous blind curve.
05/26/19 Police assist in tree removal from Mountain Rd. and Shore Rd. that fell during a rain storm.
Comments:
Regarding May 2 accident at 9W and Mountain Road, the turn from 9W's south bound lane has always been extremely dangerous. It's time for far better warning signage on the south bound side of 9W. Does anyone disagree?
