General News: Cornwall Farmer's Market

May 14, 2020

TOWN OF CORNWALL FARMERS’ MARKET 183 MAIN STREET CORNWALL, NEW YORK 12518

CORNWALL FARMERS’ MARKET 2020 WEDNESDAYS MAY 20TH—OCTOBER 28TH
11:00 AM TO 5:00 PM
11:00 AM TO 7:00 PM (3RD WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH )

Farmers Markets are open as essential retail businesses while New York State is on PAUSE.
We feel that there has never been a more vital time to provide safe, secure food to our community.
The market will take place but with some precautions in place. We are continuously making changes to our procedures to protect customers, farmers and staff and to mitigate the spread of the disease.
Here is what you can expect to see and do while at our market:

COVID—19 GUIDELINES
MARKET SAFETY FOR SHOPPERS
We encourage you to adhere to the following safety protocols in order to protect

yourselves, fellow shoppers, staff and our vendors.

  •   There will be one ENTRANCE and one EXIT to the market.

  •   Face Masks or Face Coverings (covering both mouth and nose) are REQUIRED while shopping inside our market space.

  •   Maintain a 6 FT distance between yourself and all others at ALL times while inside the market space and while waiting on line.

  •   Please wait until the person before you has left before approaching vendor tables.

  •   Allow vendors to serve you, please do not touch the product.

  •   There will be NO FOOD CONSUMPTION while at the market.

  •   Try to keep your market shopping trip as quick as possible.

  •   If you wish to save time and reduce risk, order online, email or text your order to participating vendors. (CHECK WITH VENDORS FOR AVAILABILITY).

  •   Limit your party to ONE PERSON as much as possible. Think of the market as an essential activity, not a social one.

  •   If you are SICK, STAY HOME!

  •   PLEASE LEAVE CHILDREN AT HOME.

  •   Those who are high-rick (elderly and people with underlying health conditions) should avoid coming to the

    market.

  •   If you sneeze or cough, do so only into a tissue (and immediately dispose of it) or into the crease of your

    elbow.

  •   Hand Washing Stations will be made available.

  •   Thoroughly wash your hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds.

  •   If hand washing is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  •   Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  •   Wash all produce thoroughly before using it.

  •   Regularly wash your reusable produce bags.

These procedures are continuously evolving and changing to meet the current NYS Agricultural and Health Guidelines and may change at a moments’ notice. Please check for updates before coming to the market.
    Sincerely ,
    The Town of Cornwall Farmers
