Obituaries: Robert T. D?Arrigo

ROBERT T. D’ARRIGO
September 1, 1943 – October 27, 2022
Mountainville, NY

Robert T. D’Arrigo, of Mountainville, NY entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 79 years old.

The son of the late Nunzio D’Arrigo and Sylvia (Drabman) D’Arrigo, Robert was born on September 1, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.

Robert was a retired Department Chair for the Industrial Arts Dept. of Clarkstown North High School in New City, NY, where he served as a teacher for over 35 years.

He was an active member of the Mountainville Engine Company #3 as well as a longtime member of the Board of Fire Commissioners in the Canterbury Fire District. He was also a proud member of the Hoffman Masonic Lodge in Middletown, NY.

A family statement reads: “Dad was a caring father and devoted teacher who dedicated his life to serving his students and community. He will be missed greatly.”

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife: Norma J. (Champagne) D’Arrigo in 2007. He is survived by his daughter: Robyn M. (D’Arrigo) McGuinness and her husband Thomas of New Windsor, NY and his son: Michael N. D’Arrigo of Mountainville, NY.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4th at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mountainville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mountainville Engine Co. #3, PO Box 11, Mountainville, NY 10953.
