Arrests

08/08/19 Jame R Willis, age 45, of Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with DWI and aggravated DWI.
08/12/19 Lashawn E Dewindt, age 25, of Norwalk, Ct was arrested and charged with speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.
08/12/19 Robert L Vanriper, age 42, of Washingtonville, NY was arrested and charged with gang assault in the 1st degree and assault in the 2nd degree.
08/15/19 A 45 yr old male from Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with obstruction of breathing and harassment in the 2nd degree.
08/17/19 A 36 yr old male from Otisville, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.

Incidents
08/06/19 A walk in stated that she found a needle on the ground while walking her dog and asked for it to be removed from he sidewalk.
08/07/19 A caller reported fraud. He purchased 2 concert tickets using an app and purchasing with Zelle linked to his account for $400.
08/08/19 Police bring an animal (no description) to Walden Animal Shelter.
08/11/19 Police remove a tree blocking Rt 218.
08/13/19 Police respond to a report of a dog that stumbled down a large embankment and assist and retrieve the animal.
08/15/19 A caller reported fraud. she gave $400 to an unknown person thinking they would assist her in correcting her dating site profile. She then determined that the person was not connected to the dating site and the funds were lost.
08/17/19 A caller reported criminal mischief in the past in a 2nd floor apartment.
08/17/19 Police respond to a report of a driver in a white SUV wearing a hockey mask and looking at 2 young girls then following them as they walked by the Chase bank. The girls left the area and went to dunking, flagged down COVAc members and reported the incident.
08/17/19 Police respond to Angola Rd for a report of wires down on a driveway and advise county to contact utilities.
