10/16/17-11/05/17

Arrests
10/26/17 Shawn-Rick Winter age 22, of Newburgh, NY was arrested on a bench warrant.
10/28/17 An 18 yr old male was arrested for robbery in the 3rd degree and and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree.

Incidents

Police issue approximately 20 warnings and 9 summonses to drivers including summonses for parking at the riverfront without a permit.
10/16/17 Police respond to Cumberland farms for a minor motor vehicle accident.

10/17/17 A Police officer was on patrol and was flagged down by a subject on River St and Dock Hill telling the officer that her roof was on fire and that her husband was on the 3rd floor looking for the the fire. The officer located a woman and a child on the landing of the 1st and 2nd floor, located the husband and got all subjects out of the house safely.
Fire Dept responded and discovered the fire in the chimney and it was extinguished without incident.

10/21/17 Police respond to Storm King School for a fire alarm caused by burnt popcorn.
10/24/17 Police respond to a a 1 car accident with injuries.
10/25/17 A caller reported a possible burglary on the 3rd floor of a house.
10/26/17 Police assist Town Police with a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
10/26/17 Police respond to DB Mart for a 2 vehicle accident no injuries.
10/28/17 Police contact Central Hudson about possible wire damage after a branch broke over power lines.
10/28/17 A caller stated that 2 male subjects that she could not identify were in her backyard on Idlewild Ave.
10/28/17 A subject walked into Town Police headquarters and stated that he was just robbed by someone on Academy Ave. He stated that the subject stole a gold necklace off of his neck.
10/30/17 A woman came to the Police Dept to report that she was being followed by a main a vehicle from Newburgh to Cornwall.
11/02/17 Police and Fire Dept respond to Rt 9W near Storm King School for a tree branch on wires and wires smoking, no fire.
11/02/17 A missing juvenile was located not long after Police were notified.
11/03/17 Police respond to wood Ave for a tractor trailer that was stuck and pulled down telephone wire.
11/03/17 Police respond to Rt 9W south near Reservoir Rd. for a deer vs motor vehicle accident.
