Obituaries: Christopher D. Phair

September 12, 2017

 Christopher D. Phair, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2017 at home. He was 51 years old.

The son of the late William R. Phair and Margaret (McCabe) Phair, Christopher was born on November 26, 1965 in New York, NY.

Christopher was a Graduate of Cornwall High School. Christopher honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force in Germany. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for Soundview Paper Company in Elmwood Park, NJ.

Chris was a gentle soul that will long be remembered for his kindness and caring nature – to know him, was to love him. He was a talented craftsman who left his mark on so many lives. Chris loved his family and felt his greatest accomplishments were his children.

In addition to his mother, Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Dianne M. (Polkowski) Phair at home; his son: Christopher D. Phair, Jr. at home; his daughter: Carly M. Phair and her fiancé Christopher; his brothers: William (Ellen) Phair of Cornwall, NY and Stephen (Cindy) Phair of Rockaway, NJ; his sister: Patricia Tinelli and her fiancée Kevin of Petaluma, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13th and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 14th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 14th at the funeral home. Inurnment with Military Honors will take place following the Service at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY

Memorial Contributions in Christopher’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive #200, New Windsor, NY 12553.
