Arrests
12/31/16 Thomas J. Metcalf, age 22, of Cornwall-on-Hudson was arrested and charged with assault in the 3rd degree and resisting arrest.
Incidents
12/19/16 A caller reported that she saw a vehicle side swipe a vehicle on Main St and take off.
12/20/16 Police stop a vehicle on Rt 9W for an equipment violation, cracked window.
12/20/16 Police stop a vehicle on Rt 9W for an equipment violation, tinted windows.
12/20/16 Police issue a warning to a driver for speeding on Shore Rd. and a warning to another driver for speeding on Hudson St.
12/20/16 Police issue 2 warnings to drivers for speeding on Rt 9W.
12/23/16 A driver was stopped by Police, insurance policy was found to be cancelled by owner so vehicle was towed to owner’s address.
12/25/16 Police respond to Rt 218 for a report of large ice chunks and debris on roadway on Rt 218.
12/25/16 Police respond to Idlewild Ave. for a report of the Storm King neon sign flickering. Police gain access to the building and shut off power to the sign to prevent an electrical fire.
12/27/16 A wallet was found, turned in to Police who were able to contact the owner.
12/27/16 A woman reported identity theft to her credit card.
12/27/16 Police assist COVAC with an overdose victim.
12/29/16 Police assist with a tractor trailer on Idlewild Ave that was stuck and knocking down wires. The Police escorted the truck to Rt 9W from Shore Rd.
12/30/16 Police respond to Cornwall Ave for a report of criminal mischief. A resident reported that eggs were thrown at his residence.
12/31/16 Police take a report of criminal mischief. A mailbox on Stillman Ave was struck by a baseball bat.
12/31/16 A resident came into Police headquarters to report criminal mischief at her residence at Summer winds Court. Her mailbox was damaged the night before.
12/31/16 A caller reported criminal mischief. Unknown subjects threw something at her storm door window on Duncan Ave breaking the glass. A neighbor advised he that at the time of the incident he was walking his dog and he saw a large group of juveniles who may have been involved. Police were able to locate and question the individuals. A woman called the station to report that her son was involved in the incident and stated that she would make restitution.
12/31/16 A Police car was parked at Dunkin Donuts and while the Officer was inside he was told a red pick up truck backed into the Patrol and took off. No license plate was obtained.
