Arrests
11/15/16 Gani Bajrushi, age 33, of New Windsor, NY was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class a misdemeanor and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle.
11/18/16 A 20 yr old male from Highland Mills, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.
11/23/16 A 47 yr old male from Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the 4th degree, assault in the 3rd degree and harassment in the 2nd degree.
11/26/16 A 24 yr old male from Newburgh, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.
11/27/16 Brendan Douglas Carr, age 34, of Bryantown, MD was arrested and charged with DWI and for a fugitive from justice charge.
Incidents
11/14/16 Police take a report of a bear sighting on Brookhollow Drive.
11/15/16 Police respond to Rt 9W and Angola Rd to remove a dead deer from the roadway and advise DOT.
11/15/16 A caller reported smoke coming from a basement of a c=house on Mill St. Police respond to the home and fire dept advise that it is a malfunctioning furnace.
11/15/16 Police respond to St Lukes Hospital. A female came into the hospital with a leg wound stating that she received the wound during an altercation with another female in NJ.
11/15/16 A complainant stated that he was threatened by his employer and wanted it the incident on file in case of further retaliation.
11/15/16 A complainant stated that she was harassed by her employer in the past and wanted it the incident on file in case of further retaliation.
11/16/16 A caller stated that an abandoned building on rt 9W that used to be the old Citgo station looks to have a white male inside the building who is not supposed to be in there. Officer responded and confirmed the person to be a mannequin.
11/17/16 A clerk at the Town Office advised that an unknown male was threatening her over phone and swearing at her about his credit being ruined and that he was going to come to the office to take care of it himself. Security in building advised as well.
11/17/16 Police respond to Town of New Windsor to assist in apprehending a wanted person.
11/17/16 A complainant came into HQ to request advice in reference to a money scam involving a fake check from Nigeria. He was referred to NYSP since it was out of state.
11/18/16 A caller stated that her iphone was stolen and that she used find my iphone to locate the phone. The officer responded to the address to assist the caller and after speaking tot he owner of the address the caller was convinced it was not at that address.
11/18/16 A caller reported burglary from her garage on Angola Rd.
11/19/16 Police respond to a fire behind Pennings Farm and advise resident of no open burning and advise her to extinguish it.
11/20/16 Police shut down SB rt 9W due to icy conditions.
11/20/16 Police remove a tree on Rt 94 blocking roadway.
11/21/16 Police take mutiple reports of a tree down on Rt 32 and notify DOT.
11/22/16 A caller reported that boxes fell out of a truckonto Rt 32. Driver returned to pick up boxes.
