Arrests
07/14/15 Joseph P Stewart, age 36, of Cornwall, NY was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
07/14/15 Mark A Kenny, age 52, of Garrison, NY was arrested on a bench warrant.
07/17/15 A 25 yr old male from Wallkill, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Incidents
07/13/15 Police assist with a 1 car accident with property damage after a vehicle hit a deer on Orrs Mills Rd.
07/14/15 Police take a report of a burglary on Angola Rd.
07/14/15 Police assist with a 2 car accident on Rt 32, no reported in injuries.
07/15/15 Police take a report of criminal mischief. A concession trailer at the athletic field was damaged, large dents to door.
07/15/15 Police respond to Pelham dr for a report of criminal mischief. The caller reported that sometime that evening an unknown subject entered his back yard, threw furniture and objects into his pool. Other objects in his car were not taken but moved to other locations to cause annoyance.
07/15/15 A bus company reported that a passenger refused to pay his fare and that this is an ongoing issue with this passenger so he was told he is no longer welcome as a passenger.
07/16/15 Police and COVAC respond to Rt 94 for a car accident with injuries.
07/16/15 Police arrest a driver of a motorcycle after the driver was caught speeding through town.
07/16/15 Police, COVAC, Cornwall Fire Dept and Storm King Engine Co. respond to 234 Willow Ave. for a fire in a kitchen. One injured firefighter was treated for difficulty breathing.
07/16/15 Police take a report of burglary. A caller stated that a box containing tax documents and a motorola phone was missing from their residence on Rt. 94.
07/18/15 Police and COVAC respond to Route 9W for a 1 car accident car vs. bear, air bag deployment.
07/18/15 Edgewick Farm called to say they received multiple calls asking them if a baby goat raoming behind NYMA’s daycare facility belonged to them. The goat was then secured in a pen.
07/18/15 Police received a 911 call about a rock on Rt 218. Rock was removed off the roadway.
07/19/15 Police dispatch an injured groundhog humanely after it was injured on Lee Rd.
07/19/15 Police help 2 lost hikers find their car on Rt 9W.
07/19/15 Police were called to Willow Ave. apartments over a dispute about tv volume between two neighbors. All parties advised.
